Can I become a member of Whispering Hope even if I choose not to work with the MAD Foundation?

Yes you can! We hope to link and support every single horse rescue around the world and create new ones where there aren't any.

How much does membership cost?

At this point membership is free. As benefits become available a fee will be introduced but the benefits will be at least as much as, if not more than, the value of the membership fee.

I do not run a horse rescue. Can I still become a member of Whispering Hope?

Yes. The only requirement to become a member of Whispering Hope is that you love horses and would like to help end their suffering.

It is our hope that we will, eventually, have every single member of the equine community, worldwide, as a member of Whispering Hope. You can help us achieve this by joining and encouraging all your horse loving friends to become members as well.

Is Whispering Hope a charity?

Currently Whispering Hope is a registered non-profit organization. We will be applying for charitable status with the Australian Tax Office in due course. However, this will be relevant to Australian residents only.

Why have you chosen to raise funds in this way?

We have chosen this method because we truly believe that funding needs to be residual so that members can get on with the serious business of running their rescues and saving horses - not constantly trying to raise funds. As awareness for the need for change grows, so will the number of non-profit or charitable organizations; all of whom will be relying on the same donation dollars. Hence, we believe, it is necessary to look for other ways to raise much needed funds.

We also believe that volunteers should be rewarded for their efforts so that even as they help raise funds for their rescue, they are creating a better future for themselves and their family.
