Whispering Hope

Story Guidelines

  • For your story, please keep the word count to 1,500 words or less.
  • Show, don't tell, readers about your experience. Relive the moment and describe it in vivid detail so that you create an experience for your readers.
  • Share your emotions. If you were scared or elated, then explain why. Every person in the world is different, but we all share emotions like happiness, fear, and excitement. Bringing these into your story will make it come alive.
  • The best stories come from the heart. Most of the time when you try to turn a story into something, it doesn't turn out as good as it could be. If you want to tell a great story then imagine that you're telling it to your best friend. Write just like you would if you were sitting with them over a cup of coffee and relating the whole thing for the first time.
  • If you are telling a story about someone else or on someone else's behalf, please make sure to get their permission in writing. You can, if you wish, change names to maintain anonymity.
